"ISO 50001:2018 transition deadline extended by six months.

An updated FAQ communication from the IAF has stated that due to the current COVID-19 situation and in line with the fact that other transitions and migrations have been extended by up to six months, the deadline for transitioning to ISO 50001:2018 has now been extended by six months.

 The recently updated ISO 50004 is the latest in ISO’s energy management suite of standards, which includes ISO 50001 for the development of an energy management system.

The new deadline for transitioning a system to the 2018 version is now 31st January 2022The new and enhanced ISO 50004, Energy management systems – Guidance for the implementation, maintenance and improvement of an ISO 50001 energy management system, helps an organization take a systematic approach to its overall energy management as a means of achieving continual improvement in energy performance"
